Japanese actress to read A-bomb victims' poems in U.S.
TOKYO, Japan - Japanese actress Sayuri Yoshinaga has been invited by a U.S. peace group to read half a dozen poems, written by survivors of the 1945 U.S. atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, in Port Townsend, a town near Seattle, Washington State, on July 11 (local time). She has been traveling across Japan to read poems for peace since 1987.
