New foreign minister meets press
TOKYO, Japan - Newly appointed Foreign Minister Yohei Kono meets the media at the prime minister's official residence in Tokyo on Oct. 5. Kono, 62, who will be entrusted with preparations for next year's Group of Eight summit in Okinawa, said, ''I will do my utmost for the success of the summit.''
