Nagasaki confab calls for abolition of nuclear weapons

NAGASAKI, Japan - High school students report on the outcome of a four-day conference of antinuclear nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), which ended in Nagasaki on Nov. 20. The conference appealed for a world free of nuclear arms. The appeal, adopted at the close of the Nagasaki Global Citizens' Assembly for the Elimination of Nuclear Weapons, will be sent to countries that possess nuclear weapons.
