Cherry blossom illumination in Fukushima
Pink and white LED lights lighten trees in front of JR Iwaki Station in Fukushima Prefecture, northeastern Japan, on Dec. 14, 2019. The illumination began the same day to represent a famous row of cherry blossom trees in the nearby town of Tomioka, where the government's evacuation order partially remains in place following the 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant disaster.
