City assembly election in Nago
NAGO, Japan - Nago Mayor Susumu Inamine, an opponent of a plan to relocate a key U.S. military base to the city, enters the office of his supporters' group in Nago, Okinawa Prefecture, shortly before midnight on Sept. 7, 2014, while ballot counting was being conducted for the city assembly election the same day. In the 27-member assembly, 16 candidates opposed to the base's relocation won seats while 11 were taken by supporters of the plan. (Kyodo)
