Police collect DNA from kin of quake missing
FUKUSHIMA, Japan - Chiyoko Sasaki provides her DNA sample to the police on May 13, 2011, at a gymnasium in Fukushima City. Police in disaster-hit Fukushima, Iwate and Miyagi prefectures began collecting the same day DNA samples from relatives of people who have been missing since the March 11 earthquake and tsunami, in a bid to compile a database to speed up their identification.
