New rules for airline carry-on luggage for liquid containers

NARITA, Japan - An airport employee at Narita International Airport demonstrates new rules for carry-on luggage that will be enforced beginning March 1 for international flights originating in Japan. Under the new rules, liquids such as drinks and cosmetics must be bottled in small containers under 100 milliliters and each passenger will be allowed to carry up to 1 liter of liquid luggage packed inside one transparent vinyl bag. Similar rules are also implemented in the United States and the European Union, officials say. (Kyodo)
