Native American completes 1,000-km peace walk to Hiroshima
HIROSHIMA, Japan - Tom Dostou (2nd from R), a 56-year-old Wabanaki Indian, poses at the Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima on Dec. 6 after completing a 1,000-kilometer ''peace walk'' from Tokyo. He joined dozens of peace activists from around the world on Oct. 13 to carry a ''peace flame'' (laid in front) to Hiroshima. The flame was originally lit from fires ignited by the Aug. 6, 1945 atomic bombing of Hiroshima.
