Jiang says U.S. responsible for aircraft collision

BEIJING, China - Chinese President Jiang Zemin (file photo) said April 3 that the United States should bear full responsibility for the April 1 collision between a Chinese fighter plane and a U.S. Navy surveillance aircraft and demanded the U.S. stop such reconnaissance flights, the official Xinhua News Agency reported. Jiang made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Qatar Prime Minister Abdullah bin Khalifa al-Thani.
