Expo to feature epitaph of Japanese scholar in 8th-century China

TOKYO, Japan - China has agreed to put on display at the Aichi World Exposition a stone epitaph of a Japanese scholar who was dispatched to Tang China in the 8th century and died there, sources at the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo said on March 24. The discovery of the epitaph of Sei Shinsei was announced last October by China's Northwest University.
