Seiko board dismisses president for 'dogmatic management'
TOKYO, Japan - Shinji Hattori speaks at a news conference in Tokyo on April 30, 2010, after Seiko Holdings Corp.'s board dismissed President Koichi Murano and replaced him with Hattori, the nephew of Seiko Honorary Chairman Reijiro Hattori, in an emergency meeting. The board accused Murano of a ''dogmatic management approach'' that led to the erosion of corporate governance and neglect of the company's debt-ridden subsidiary.
