Japan tightens travel restrictions for travelers from China
Passengers from Shanghai arrive at Narita airport near Tokyo on Dec. 30, 2022, with a notice board (L) seen showing the Japanese government's new travel restrictions requiring all air travelers from mainland China to take an antigen test upon arrival. The tightened rules, effective the same day, came in response to a surge in the number of COVID-19 cases after the Chinese government eased its strict antivirus measures earlier in the month.
