(230203) -- BAOFENG, Feb. 3, 2023 (Xinhua) -- A child enjoys performances at the Quyi fair in Majie Village of Baofeng County, central China's Henan Province, Feb. 3, 2023. The Majie Quyi Fair resumed its offline events after three years of suspension on Friday, the 13th day of the first month on the Chinese lunar calendar. Folk artists from across the country gathered in Majie village to take part in the fair. The folk art fair in Majie has a history of over 700 years. The event is said to originate from a prestigious folk artist in the village, whose many disciples gathered to celebrate his birthday in 1316. The birthday celebration later evolved into a folk art fair. Chinese folk art, or Quyi, has many forms, including ballad singing, story telling and cross talk, etc. (Xinhua/Lan Hongguang)
