14th Day Of Protest Against The Pension Reform And Police Violence During The March

The banner reads 'social Revolution'. Tens of thousands people protested for the 14th day of protests against the pensionreform law, which delay retirement by two years to 64 and was pushed through parliament by the government without a vote. During the protest riot police violently charge at protesters to cut the cortege in two. Policemen used batons, tear gas canisters, pepeer spays and made several arr'ests. At least two people stayed KO on the ground and have been arrested. However the Constitutional Council said the same evening that the pension bill is constitutionnaly valid. Polls still show 93% of workers oppose the pension reform. The retirement age would be raised to 64 years (for 43 years of continued work) and the pensions will be lower specially for women, 'short careers' and low wages people. Toulouse. France.
