Guelaguetza 2023 In Iztapalapa
A group of women wearing traditional costumes from the State of Oaxaca, Mexico, on June 06, 2023, are preparing for a press conference on the occasion of the activities and celebration of the Guelaguetza that will be presented in the Zocalo of Mexico City as part of the activities in its 2023 edition. The Guelaguetza has its origins in pre-Hispanic times, and it is worth mentioning that this festivity began with a ritual that was performed to the ancient gods in a place called by the Zapotecs as Daninayaaloani or hill of beautiful view.
