Pro- Monarchists Clash With Police In Nepal

A Nepali pro-monarchy protester is falling onto the ground after being hit by gushing water from a water cannon fired by the Nepal Police. They are clashing after a security breach allowed protesters to enter the restricted area near Singha Durbar, the administrative capital of the Himalayan Nation, in Kathmandu, Nepal, on April 9, 2024. Thousands of pro-monarchists and cadres of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) are hitting the streets of Kathmandu, further clashing with security personnel while attempting to breach the restricted area. The RPP, a right-wing pro-monarch party, is leading and calling for protests demanding the restoration of the monarchy and a Hindu kingdom. (Photo by Subaas Shrestha/NurPhoto)
