Rights Clearance Service

In case you use the contents for commercial, for example, format of an advertisement, packaging, merchandise, a film or product such as postcards, we will negotiate for the rights to use the images on your behalf so that you can use them with peace of mind. If you are unsure of who has the rights to the images you wish to use, or if it is difficult to obtain permission from the rights holder, ILG of Kyodo News Images will negotiate on your behalf.

Our Strengths:
- Our office is located in Tokyo, and we support the processing of rights in Japan.
- Negotiation of copyrights, portrait rights, and other rights for images and videos of Japanese artworks, characters, Japanese celebrities, and famous athletes can be facilitated by hiring a Japanese company.
- In some cases, special permission is required for Japanese temples and shrines. In order to avoid problems, we can provide expert advice on cases that are not widely recognized overseas, based on examples in Japan.
