Obuchi, Foley hold talks
New Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi (R) shakes hands with U.S.
Ambassador to Japan Thomas Foley when they hold talks at the prime
minister's official residence in downtown Tokyo on Aug. 4. Foley
also meet separately with Finance Minister Kiichi Miyazawa and
Foreign Minister Masahiko Komura. During these talks, the U.S.
ambassador urges Japan to take resolute measures to revive the ailing
Japanese economy.
