Obuchi says Tokyo will prevent LTCB collapse
Japanese Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi says Sept. 20 he will
tell U.S. President Bill Clinton that his government will strive to
keep the Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan (LTCB) from collapsing and
affecting the global financial market. Obuchi made the comments on
his way to New York, where he will meet Clinton on Tuesday.
