Japan, S. Korea reach accord on fisheries pact
Japan's Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Minister Shoichi
Nakagawa (L) shakes hands with South Korean Maritime Affairs and
Fisheries Minister Kim Sun Gil prior to their talks on concluding a
new bilateral fisheries agreement in Tokyo on Sept. 24. Both
countries reached a basic accord early the next day after
compromising on the boundaries of a provisional fishing zone and
fishing quotas.
