Komura meets Annan
Japan's Foreign Minister Masahiko Komura (R) meets U.N.
Secretary General Kofi Annan in Tokyo on Oct. 22. Komura urged Annan
to give Japan a position of greater responsibility within the United
Nations to reflect the financial contributions the country has made
to the U.N. The two leaders discussed U.N. reform, including what to
do about unpaid dues owed by the United States and other countries.
