Online movie fans to hold festival in disused theater

Movie fans who met through a computer bulletin board are close to realizing their dream of opening a movie festival March 20-21 at an abandoned movie theater in Akita Prefecture, northeastern Japan. The 146-seat movie theater in the town of Konoura was remodeled for the festival. This photo was taken Dec. 18, 1998.
