50,000 turn out to see USS Kitty Hawk in Yokosuka
Some 50,000 people turn out at the U.S. Yokosuka Naval Base
on Feb. 21 to see the U.S. aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk, which allowed
civilian visits for the first time since it arrived in Japan last
August. The Kitty Hawk, which is based in Yokosuka, was the
centerpiece of ''Friendship Day'' activities sponsored by the U.S.
military.
