Okinawa governor invites Dodger Town
Okinawa Gov. Keiichi Inamine (L) meets Tom Lasorda, vice
president of the Los Angeles Dodgers, on Feb. 28 in Naha, the capital
of Okinawa Prefecture, to invite the U.S. baseball team to set up one
of its ''Dodger Town'' training facilities in the southernmost
Japanese island prefecture. The Dodgers have such facilities in
Florida and the Dominican Republic. China, South Korea and Taiwan
also want a Dodger Town.
