Inaugural meeting of panel on Japan's future held
Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi (C) speaks at an inaugural
meeting in Tokyo on March 30 of a prime ministerial advisory panel to
discuss Japan's goals in the next century. The 16-member panel will
eventually compile a report on ways to realize a ''prosperous and
virtuous'' nation in the 21st century.
