Nuclear waste ship arrives at Aomori port.
A vessel containing nuclear waste in the form of 40 rods of
vitrified blocks is unloaded from the 5,000-ton British ship Pacific
Swan, which arrived at Mutsu-Ogawara port in the village of Rokkasho,
Aomori Prefecture, some 700 kilometers north of Tokyo, on April 15.
The high-level radioactive waste was reprocessed in France.
