NTT, AT and T agree on alliance

Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp. (NTT) President Junichiro Miyazu (C) and AT and T Solutions Vice President Scott Perry (R) announce an agreement to form a data communications service alliance targeting multinational enterprises at a news conference in Tokyo on April 27. Under the agreement, NTT and AT and T will consider setting up a joint venture in Japan to manage the global network business AT and T is to acquire from International Business Machines Corp.
