NTT reorganized into holding company, three new firms
NTT Communications Corp., a long-distance and international carrier, opens its operation in Tokyo on July 1 as part of reorganization of Japanese telecom giant Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp.(NTT). NTT was reorganized into a holding company, two regional carriers, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corp. (NTT East), Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corp. (NTT West), and NTT Communications.
