Waste from LCD plants is recycled

OSAKA, Japan - Waste produced in the manufacturing of liquid crystal displays (LCDs) is recycled to extract rare metals with a new system introduced at the Tenri plant in Nara Prefecture of Sharp Corp. The same system has been installed at two other domestic plants of the world's biggest LCD manufacturer.
