Oldest participant to war memorial
TOKYO, Japan - Tamako Nishino (R), 90, a resident of Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, on the Sea of Japan coast, is the oldest among about 6,000 relatives of Japanese war dead, who attended the government-sponsored memorial service for them during World War II at Nippon Budokan Hall in downtown Tokyo on Aug. 15. Of the relatives, some 600 are aged 80 or older.
