Disaster prevention test held on Megafloat platform

YOKOSUKA, Japan - Accompanied by rescue workers, a mock victim of a natural disaster arrives on a stretcher at ''Megafloat,'' a giant 1,000-meter-long steel platform in waters off Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, as part of nationwide disaster prevention activities Sept. 1. Megafloat will be used in the construction of an experimental floating airport.
