Japanese students finish trip down Amazon River
RIBERALTA, Bolivia - Japanese students traveling by canoe are greeted by local residents at a military camp in Riberalta, Boliva, on Aug. 31. The group of 14 students arrived at their final destination by canoeing down a river on the upper reaches of the Amazon River from Peru. The 14 departed Puerto Maldonado in Peru on Aug. 14 following the trail of Japanese who emigrated to Bolivia from Peru 100 years ago.
