Dollar falls against yen
TOKYO, Japan - The U.S. dollar plunges below 107 yen for the first time in three years and a month on the Tokyo currency market on Sept. 14. Finance Minister Kiichi Miyazawa warned Japanese monetary authorities are determined to use market intervention to counter what he called the yen's excessively rapid rise against the dollar.
