MOX ship Pacific Teal arrives at port
OKUMA, Japan - A British cargo ship carrying mixed oxide (MOX) fuel arrives at the port of a nuclear power plant in the town of Okuma, Fukushima Prefecture, about 220 kilometers northeast of Tokyo, on Sept. 27, after a five-day delay due to high waves. The 4,648-ton Pacific Teal had been scheduled to enter port on Sept. 22 but high waves forced it to wait outside the port until Monday, Tokyo Electric Power Co. said. The Pacific Teal is carrying nuclear fuel for the No. 3 reactor of the No. 1 Fukushima nuclear power plant run by TEPCO.
