Key Indonesian politicians vow to set up new gov't
JAKARTA, Indonesia - Megawati Sukarnoputri (L), presidential front-runner, of the Indonesian Democratic Party for Struggle (PDI-Perjuangan), confers with Armed Forces Chief Gen. Wiranto (R), who is tipped to be the ruling Golkar party's vice presidential candidate, in Jakarta on Sept. 28. They pledged to establish a new ''legitimate'' government peacefully once the country's highest legislative body, the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), convenes Oct. 1 to elect president and vice president.
