MOX ship arrives in port in Takahama port
TAKAHAMA, Japan - The 5,271-ton British ship Pacific Pintail carrying 200 kilograms of mixed oxide (MOX) nuclear fuel arrives at the port of a nuclear power plant in Takahama, Fukui Prefecture, on the Sea of Japan coast, on Oct. 1. The ship's arrival is part of a controversial program for the commercial use of plutonium at nuclear power plants in Japan.
