Ibaraki gov. calls for Obuchi to boost nuclear safety

TOKYO, Japan - Masaru Hashimoto (C), governor of Ibaraki Prefecture, submits to Prime Minster Keizo Obuchi (L) on Oct. 4 a letter calling for the government to step up nuclear safety in the wake of the Sept. 30 nuclear accident at a uranium-processing plant in Tokaimura in the prefecture.
