U.S. cherry blossom queen meets Obuchi
TOKYO, Oct. 7 - Shannon Kula (L), cherry blossom queen of the United States, hands a message from U.S. President Bill Clinton to Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi at the premier's official residence on Oct. 7. The message reads, ''Washington's cherry trees presented by Japan remind me of U.S.-Japan relations. Cherry blossoms symbolize the beauty of Japanese culture,'' a government official said.
