Tamura wins women's 48-kg event in world judo c'ships
BIRMINGHAM, England - Japan's Ryoko Tamura raises the Hinomaru (rising sun) flag, saluting her supporters. She beat Cuba's Amarilis Savon on a decision to win the women's 48-kilogram event in the World Judo Championships on Oct. 10 in Birmingham, England. The victory is Tamura's fourth straight win in the world championships.
