Murofushi sets national record in hammer throw

KUMAMOTO, Japan - Asian Games champion Koji Murofushi raises his hands in celebration after setting a national record of 79.17 meters in the hammer throw competition at the national sports festival held at the Kumamoto prefectural stadium on Oct. 24. Murofushi broke his own record of 78.57 meters set when he won the gold medal at the Bangkok Asian Games in December last year.
