Myanmar's KNU leader interviewed
MAE SOT, Thailand - Bo Mya, leader of the Karen National Union (KNU), speaks in an interview with Kyodo News at a hideout in Myanmar's Karen State on Nov. 18. The 73-year-old KNU leader said the KNU has changed its strategy from direct confrontation to guerrilla warfare since losing its stronghold near the Thai border in 1994.
