Crashed H-2 rocket's main engine found

TOKYO, Japan - This main engine of the H-2 rocket that plunged into the Pacific on Nov. 15 shortly after takeoff was found on the seabed about 380 kilometers northwest of the Ogasawara Islands, some 1,000 km south of Tokyo, on Nov. 27 by an unmanned vessel of the governmental Japan Marine Science and Technology Center. The engine failed four minutes after the rocket took off from the Tanegashima Space Center on an island of Kagoshima Prefecture, at 4:29 p.m. The photo was taken by the marine science center.
