Toyota, GM develop world's smallest EV charging system
NAGOYA, Japan - Photo shows what Toyota Motor Corp. claims to be the world's smallest inductive charging system for electric vehicles. Toyota announced Nov. 29 it has jointly developed the system with U.S. automaker General Motors Corp. The system does not require the charger to be installed in the car, and so is smaller and lighter than conventional systems that require onboard chargers.
