Call to Japan wins Michigan resident 1 mil. dollars

LOS ANGELES, U.S. - Kenji Inayoshi, a 49-year-old Japanese father of two accepted a check Dec. 3 in Los Angeles for 1 million dollars, payable more than 20 years after winning the grand prize in an AT and T Corp. affiliate's sales promotion contest. The photo shows a replica of a check received by Inayoshi who hails from Aichi Prefecture but has lived for the past seven and a half years with his eldest daughter in a suburb of Detroit.
