Confab of indigenous people begins in Sapporo
SAPPORO, Japan - Representatives of indigenous people from Canada, Guam, New Zealand, Tonga and Japan begin a six-day conference on cultural exchanges, in Sapporo on Dec. 4. The forum, called the Indigenous People Conference, is being attended by eight indigenous people from the four Pacific Rim countries and region, and 12 Ainu people from Japan.
