Consumers urged to say 'no' to shahtoosh shawls

TOKYO, Japan - A man holds up a high-priced shahtoosh shawl which had been on sale in India and targeted at Japanese visitors. A British-based group that monitors wildlife trade is urging consumers around the world not to purchase shawls made from shahtoosh, the wool taken from the endangered Tibetan antelope, the group's Japanese branch said Dec. 18.
