Cell phone models display incorrect date

OSAKA, Japan - Two types of digital cell phone sold by IDO Corp. and eight companies under DDI Corp.'s Cellular Telephone group fail to display the proper date on Dec. 31. The cell phones displays Dec. 31, 2000 instead of Dec. 31, 1999 when turned off and running on backup power. The phones are the C102K and C-107K made by Kyocera Corp.
