Laos wants Japan to look out for LDC interests

VIENTIANE, Laos - Laotian Vice Premier and Foreign Minister Somsavat Lengsavad speaks in an interview with Kyodo News at the Foreign Ministry in Vientiane on Jan. 11. He said Laos and other least developed countries (LDCs) expect Japanese Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi to look out for their interests at the summit of the Group of Eight (G-8) major industrialized economies in Okinawa on July 21-23.
