Toyota's new car inspired by horse-drawn carriage

NAGOYA, Jan. 17 Kyodo - Toyota Motor Corp. on Jan. 17 introduced its WiLL Vi passenger car, which has body styling reminiscent of horse-drawn carriages of yesteryear. The standard, two-wheel-drive model with an engine displacement of 1300 cc is priced at 1.3 million yen, Toyota said. The car's body incorporates grooved panels and a sharply angled rear window, which Toyota says evoke the image of a horse-drawn carriage.

Toyota releases WiLL car for men with 'airliner look'

NAGOYA, Japan - Toyota Motor Corp. President Fujio Cho sits smilingly besides a WiLL VS high-utility vehicle his company unveiled April 6. Cho told a press conference the car that combines a bold, stylish ''airliner look'' exterior and superior utility to attract men as its buyers. The WiLL VS with an engine displacement of 1800 cc, offered in both two- and four-wheel drive models, is priced between 1.75 million and 2.05 million yen.

Toyota markets hard-top convertible Soarer

Suzuki to launch 2nd passenger car model in China

TOKYO, Japan - Handout photo shows the Ling Yang sedan which Suzuki Motor Corp. will begin assembling in China on July 1. Suzuki said it plans to assemble 6,000 units of the four-door car with a 1000 cc engine by the end of this year, and will produce 25,000 units next year.
