'2nd-generation' cloned bull born in Kagoshima
KAGOSHIMA, Japan - The photo shows a calf born on Jan. 23 as a result of cloning a cloned bull by Japanese researchers, the world's first ''second-generation'' clone of a large mammal. Researchers at the Kagoshima Prefectural Cattle Breeding Development Institute in the town of Osumi said Jan. 24 they had extracted skin cells from a bull originally cloned from a 16-year-old bull 23 days after it was born in March last year.
